LOUISA FC -TRAVEL SOCCER TRYOUTS
Seeking Youth Players ages 10-16, to roster our Girls & Boys Travel Soccer Teams
“Returning Player Tryouts” will be held on Saturday, March 30th (rain date Sunday, March 31st) @ Louisa County HS, Old Track Field, 1:00-3:30PM
“Open Tryouts” will be held on Saturday, May 11th (rain date Saturday, May 18th) @ Jouett Elementary School, 2pm-4pm
TRYOUT CRITERIA:
Louisa FC is an affordable travel soccer program, providing our local youth a more challenging level of play. Our mission is to advance the skill development of our players while providing a fun, and competitive environment. Louisa FC will be seeking those who possess the appropriate interest, skills, and abilities. These tryout sessions are designed to evaluate and determine which players showcase the proper fundamentals, aptitude, and desire to play at a competitive level. Please be prepared for a fun and challenging tryout weekend. We strongly urge every participant to arrive early, dressed appropriately and ready to begin.
Players must bring: water, cleats, & shin guards
PLAYER EVALUATION
TECHNICAL: dribbling, passing, receiving, trapping, shooting TACTICAL:decision making, knowledge of the game
PHYSICAL: speed, agility, strength, endurance
MENTAL: attitude, effort, sportsmanship, ability to follow instructions
Those footballers selected to join the club will be notified within 3-5 days after their scheduled tryout date. As a Club Member you will be required to participate in our (PDP) Player Developmental Sessions, beginning in June. Teams will play Summer tournaments (location TBD), in preparation for our Fall Travel season which runs from Sept. – Nov.
