Referee Program

Louisa FC ana LASA train and develop youth referees for our recreational  and travel soccer matches.  Our referees are very important components of our youth soccer programs.  Referees manage soccer games and develop important life and game skills. For some children, the referee experience is their first paid job, providing a safe and useful way to learn and express leadership skills.  By taking charge of the game, making quick decisions, observing the game, and instructing players on the rules of the game, referees often develop into better soccer players themselves. Kids who enjoy soccer often make excellent referees.  Youth as young as 12 years old may begin to referee.  Participants will develop referee skills informally through shadowing sessions, as well as working with area organizations to offer formal certification programs.
