LOUISA FC –TRAVEL SOCCER TRYOUTS
The 2018-19 travel season tryouts are fast approaching and this spring the LFC coaching staff seek to add many talented & dedicated youth players to our club teams. If you’re an athlete between the ages of 10-17 and have the desire to be a committed soccer player, then come join us out on the pitch May 5th to showcase your skills.
TRYOUT SCHEDULE: Boys & Girls (U12-U18) Eligible Player Birthdates 01’-09’
SATURDAY, MAY 5th @ JOUETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL from 2-6pm
*SUNDAY, MAY 6th @ JOUETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL from 2-6pm
*NOTE: Sunday has been reserved in case of rain-out, or if additional time is required to complete player evaluations.
TRYOUT CRITERIA:
Participants Must Bring: cleats, shin guards and plenty of water to last the day.
These tryout sessions are designed to evaluate and determine which players possess the most skill, speed & understanding of the game. Players will also be graded on attitude towards teammates/coaches.
EVALUATION:
TECHNICAL: foot-skills, passing, receiving, juggling, dribbling & shooting
TACTICAL: decision making, knowledge of the game
PHYSICAL: speed, agility, strength, endurance
MENTAL: attitude, effort, & coachability
At the conclusion of tryouts all player evaluations will be reviewed and graded. Those players selected to participate with LFC will be notified promptly by the Coaches & Staff.
Please be prepared for a challenging and fun tryout weekend. We strongly urge every participant to arrive on time, have a positive attitude and be ready to get kicking!
