Welcome All Louisa Futbol Club Members
We are extremely excited to get our practice sessions underway and wanted to ensure that you are fully informed as we head into this Fall Travel Soccer season. This Q&A newsletter provides everyone with an overview of important information about upcoming practices, location changes, summer tournaments, fall travel and even a few suggested COERVER drills for our footballers to work on when at home or away on vacation.
• When does my official team practice begin?
LFC will carry three teams this season; U13-Coed, U18-Girls, U18-Boys. Team practices will begin on Monday June 6th.

Important Notice: Originally we were scheduled to use the LCHS (old track field) but due to unexpected field maintenance; all practice sessions will need to be moved to alternate field locations. Starting June 6th to July 8th we will be holding all practices at Trevilians Elementary School (2035 S Spotswood Trail, Louisa, VA 23093). On July 11th practices will then be moved back to the LCMS soccer field, which is located directly behind the school. We are very sorry for any inconveniences this may cause. Parents, please ensure that all carpools or chauffeurs are aware of the changes with the practice locations.

• What should I bring to practice?
Each player is responsible for bringing his/her own water bottle or cooler, cleats and shin guards. Note: Players without these items may have limited practice time or may be excluded from certain drills altogether.

• What if I can’t make it to practice?
Please try to notify your coach at least 1 day in advance or sooner. This will allow the coaches to adequately adjust their practice session for that day in order to accommodate for any absences.

• What if practice is cancelled?
LFC will send a text & email via the contact information you provided on the registration forms.

• Where do I go to pay player dues?
Please pay online at www.lousiafc.com. Located on the right hand side of the home page. Be certain to enter your player’s name in the box and then select Pay Now. We accept bank draft and all major credit cards.

• When does the Fall Travel Soccer Season begin?
LFC participates in the SOCA-Skyline League and consists of an 8 game season. Games normally begin the second weekend of September and run to mid November.

• What other items or soccer gear will be required to purchase for the Fall Season? All new players will be required to purchase a (light blue) LFC Club sweatshirt and (black) Adidas Tiro training pants; if players don’t already have them. The Adidas training pants can be purchased locally or online at any sports store ie: Dick’s Sporting Goods and Soccer.com. LFC will coordinate team sweatshirt orders to ensure group discounts and correct item is ordered. Any returning club members who may also like a new sweatshirt can also take advantage of the group order.

• Where can we purchase LFC apparel to show our club support?

• Any player who wants to speed up their individual soccer progression while learning more about the COERVER Ball Mastery methods can view these selected links provided with the attached document. It is highly recommended that All LFC Footballers make use of their free time and working on these important foot skills everyday!

Louisa FC will be holding supplemental tryouts for all Club teams. This supplemental tryout session is for those dedicated players between the ages of 11-17 that are interested in joining Louisa’s elite soccer club. If you think you have what it takes to be a committed travel soccer player then we invite you to come tryout for one of our teams!

DATE: Saturday, May 14, 2016
(Rain Date – Sunday, May 15, 2016)

PARTICIPANTS:
Boys and Girls – Ages 11 – 17

TIME: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Jouett Elementary School (315 Jouett School Rd., Mineral, VA 23117)

REGISTRATION: LFC Coaches and Staff encourage everyone to pre-register online at www.louisafc.com prior to attending tryouts.

TRYOUT CRITERIA: Please bring: soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards and a water bottle(s)

NOTE: LFC tryout sessions are designed to determine which players are in the best physical condition and demonstrate the best technical & tactical skills. Coaches will also be looking for players who possess the best attitude towards their teammates, coaches, and the game of soccer. At the conclusion of tryouts player evaluations will be graded and we will notify you if you have made the team via email.

Louisa Futbol Club is heading into our 4th year as a registered VYSA Travel Soccer Club and with the continued growth, seek to add younger teams to our program. If you are a boy or girl between the ages of 10-17 and think you have what it takes to be a committed travel soccer player, then come tryout to join one of our teams!

REGISTRATION:
You must register online at REGISTER NOW or by Clicking on Forms and LFC Travel Registration prior to coming to tryouts. Payment is NOT DUE until your child makes the team. Once your child makes the team payment will be DUE on April 1, 2016. At that time you can Pay Online with our Pay Now button on the top right hand side page of our website. **Make sure you enter your Player’s Name so to ensure proper payment is applied to your account** If you have multiple children playing you will have to do a separate registration form and separate payments for each child through the website.

TRYOUT CRITERIA:
Please bring: (1) soccer ball (2) cleats (3) NOCSAE approved shin guards (4) water bottle

Tryouts will be designed to determine the players who possess the best technical skills, make the best tactical decision, are in the best physical condition and possess the best attitude towards teammates, coaches and the game of soccer.

At the conclusion of tryouts all player evaluations will be graded and reviewed by LFC Coaches. Those Footballers selected/chosen to play for any Louisa FC team will be contacted directly by the Coaches & Staff.
