IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTICE
As everyone is aware Governor Northam issued another executive order issuing all people to stay home until June 10, 2020. At this time, the most important thing is to keep everyone healthy and safe. Therefore, we must reschedule our Club tryouts. We certainly don’t take this decision lightly and appreciate our families understanding our sincere disappointment in announcing this unfortunate outcome. We want everyone to stay safe and we hope to have our footballers kicking soon!
LOUISA FC – TRYOUT UPDATE
Saturday, June, 20 @ Jouett Elementary School, 12pm-3pm (Makeup or Rain Date: 6/27/20)
LFC tryouts are open to Girls & Boys (ages 9-16) who aspire to grow and develop their individual skills and passion for the “Beautiful Game of Soccer”
PLAYER EVALUATION:
TECHNICAL: dribbling, passing, receiving, trapping,
TACTICAL: decision making, knowledge of the game
PHYSICAL: speed, agility, strength, endurance
MENTAL: attitude, effort, sportsmanship, ability to follow instructions
Those footballers selected to join Louisa FC will be notified within 5 days after tryouts have concluded. Players chosen will be required to participate in our (PDP) Player Developmental Program beginning in June. LFC Teams will compete at summer tournaments (Aug.-Sept.) in preparation for the competitive fall travel season (Sept.-Nov.)
CLUB/TRYOUT OVERVIEW:
Louisa FC is an affordable community focused travel soccer program, providing our local youth players a more challenging level of soccer. Our mission is to establish a player-centric culture that places a high value on individual technical development and decision-making. From the players earliest experiences until they graduate from our program, we are building a continuous and cohesive progression for players to become skillful, exciting, and knowledgeable footballers. Louisa FC is committed to making soccer a fun, safe and rewarding experience for everyone involved!
Our tryout sessions are designed to evaluate and determine which players showcase the proper fundamentals, aptitude, and desire to play at the competitive levels of soccer. Tryout participants should be prepared for a fun but challenging experience. We strongly urge everyone to arrive 20 min. early, to complete player sign-in. Players should be dressed appropriately, wearing cleats and shin guards. (Bring your own water bottle)
NOTE: Travel Teams are selected on a competitive basis. Positions on a team MUST be earned. Just because a player may have played on a travel team last year does NOT guarantee him/her a place for the 2020/21 season.
